I really loved how easy it was to walk to Broadway in just a few minutes and enjoy a leisurely stroll through Central Park, soaking in the beauty of the city. The staff were super friendly and always ready with great local tips.

We liked rooms with comfy soft beds. The location was incredible to the 50th Street E train station that runs from JFK. In a hurry we visited Panda Express nearby.

We found the 414 Hotel to be very comfortable, in an extremely good position, and with very friendly and helpful staff. It was a perfect base for sightseeing, theatre, shopping etc. We liked the easygoing atmosphere and the ability to help oneself to breakfast, hot drinks etc. in the downstairs kitchen-reception area. Also to be able to use the computer was very useful. A lovely relaxed stay.
Regulating the temperature in the room was difficult, although a great plus was being able to open the windows!

Location excellent, handy to Time Square, and close to a number of restaurants. Also that it was a small hotel - only 22 rooms so more personal. Breakfast included also a bonus.
Bit noisy at times

Walked all over ny. Shopped. Went to a broadway Play. Ate out a lot.
The Queen size bed was smaller than anyother queen size bed we have slept in. The pillows were not at all comfortable. We had to ask for the ice bucket liner to be replaced each day. There was mold in the bathroon window.

Clean, warm, functional and unobtrusive.
Our room was very plain and small, not as 'boutiquey' as the website. Having said that, I have no complaints.

we liked best the opportunity to sit around the table in the lobby and eat breakfast with the other guests. this lead to some good friendships during our stay. the staff were also very happy for us to use the table in the evenings to socialise over pizzas and wine. they supplied wine glasses and a corkscrew too!
no bbc on the cable tv!!

Very quiet and intimate setting. The patio was beautiful and unexpected, but a great place for a glass of wine!
Would like coffee maker in the room.

Great location. Great staff. Very quiet considering where it is. Loved the free breakfast and late check out. Gave me enough time to wander to central park before the tourists!

The self-check-in process made my arrival simple and hassle-free. The room was clean and spacious enough for me, containing all the essentials. I loved the cozy common lounge area where I could relax with a cup of coffee and plan my next adventure. The location was perfect, just a short walk from major attractions like Times Square, yet quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The area in front could use some cleaning and felt slightly lonely late at night. Still, the friendly staff was always available to assist when needed.

Good location; very helpful staff; quiet (at least on the 4th floor rear building).
Lack of elevator could be problem for some although staff delivered our bags to our 4th floor room for us - a very nice surprise.
